: As part of our multi-week intervention program, we are fortunate to have a burn survivor who comes & speaks directly to the issues of being burned. This person speaks of the pain of the burn, of the hospitalization, the physical rehab, the emotional recovery & how the burns have changed the burn survivors life. The speaker is able to "show & tell" their scars, explain how skin grafts work & turn the excperience into an educational opportunity.
: Also, we are fortunate to have a child who is a burn survivor & was injured while behaving inappropriately with fire. This young person is willing to & has previously talked with other children to add another level to this program.
