Three year old Devon has been added to the Memorial Page of the SOS FIRES web site. His mother has kindly offered up his name and memory to help remind us all of the dangers of fire, particularly for young children. Let's hope Devon's legacy will help us make changes for the better.
: My son started a fire in my home. He died as a result.
: I always made sure he new fire was bad ,and what would cuase fires.Matches, lighters, ect...
: The one thing I never thought to show him or warn him about , was grill lighters,my son went to fire prevntoin i even rented the fore prevetoin mives for young kids, And never once was the mentoin of grill lighters. My son like to play will water guns, After my son died i was told by a firefighter we should have put the grill lighter somewhere he couldn't get to it, For one majore reason " They look like toy gun".
